3E Group's 8 Energy Performance Contracting (EPC) projects for the NSW Department of Education

Case Study: 3E Group’s Energy Performance ContractingEnergy Savings Project – Department of Education & Communities NSW

OVERVIEW

The NSW Department of Education (DoE) rolled out a state-wide Energy Saving Program across the NSW public-school system to reduce energy costs and cut carbon emissions.

To mitigate performance and financial risks, NSW DoE engaged the private sector via the proven Energy Performance Contracting (EPC) mechanism to implement and guarantee energy savings. 3E Group (formerly Ecosave Australia & NZ) successfully won the last eight consecutive Energy Performance Contracts (EPCs) issued by NSW DoE.

NSW DoE invested more than $17.3 million with 3E Group to deliver energy efficiency and embedded generation solutions across 62 of the state’s largest schools to date. Since 2015, 3E Group has designed, implemented, and conducted Measurement & Verification on Lighting upgrades and Solar PV installations across 40 public schools.

Below are some Reviews about 3E Group’s energy savings solutions

I would like to commend the work that 3E Group has recently completed in our school…the large job was handled professionally and the finished product is of the highest quality… There was minimal disruption to the school day and most of the work was completed in absence of staff and students…I would be happy to recommend Ecosave to any other school or business who may be contemplating changing lights to LED.

Lane Cove West Public School has been fortunate to have new LED lighting installed in all permanent classrooms, admin and outdoor areas of the school. The teachers and students have reported that the lighting is much brighter and less glary than the old Fluorescent light fittings which we had previously…Lane Cove West is looking forward to continuing its quest to be a sustainable, energy saving school 3E Group has assisted us on the road to achieving this goal.
